We're going to Torquay in July and these websites helped us decide to go there.

I particularly like the look of the ghost walk in Kent's Cavern.
Further afield, we went to Woodlands theme park a couple of years ago and it was excellent.

The other thing that swung it for us is that parking in Torquay is easy...

Hi we stay in salcombe every year and last year went to cockington court, which was a big old house with arts and crafts stuff and glass blowing demos. There is lots of space for picincs and walks and its free to get in and right on top of torquay town.

The Ghost Tour at Kents Cavern is FABULOUS, just don't eat there efterwards because the food is terrible and there are several lovely pubs in the area.

Woodlands is a brilliant day out, about half an hour outside Torquay.

It depends what you're after really. Torquay itself is a mediocre town full of naff shops. But it is sandwiched between the sea and the Moors and surrounded by so many lovely things to see and do.

I would say that Pennywell Farm is well worth checking out, as is the rare breeds farm. There is also a cute hedgehog sanctuary / wildlife rescue place open to the public.

Where will you be staying? At the Grosvenor maybe? (the Hotel from the series on the telly!!!!)
