Anyone else had problems applying frora SAGA ISA ?

After readingMoneySavingExpert's advice concerning the highest rate ISA's, on the 18th May this year I completed an Online Application for one of SAGA's 1 Year Fixed Rate ISA's with 3.60%. On 23rd May I emailed SAGA to query why I hadn't received any paperwork and they replied telling me that an application form was posted out to me the same day as I completed the Online Application i.e. the 18th May.
On the 25th May I recontacted SAGA as still nothing had turned up and requested a 2nd one be sent out which would take a further 5 x working days to arrive.
On the 30th May, I again rang SAGA to ensure the 2nd letter had been sent out and they confirmed this and that I should receive something by that coming Friday at the latest.
On 1st June, I again rang SAGA to advise that neither of these letters had arrived. The lady in their Call Centre was most apologetic saying that as they had initially opened an Account and it had an account number, this would be cancelled, a new application was made over the phone and new paperwork issued and would be sent out within 3-5 working days. We are now on the 9th June and still nothing.
Just wondered if anyone else had experienced any problems or is it just a case of Royal Mail rubbish service again ?

I have recently made 3 x applications (myself and parents) for this SAGA account. No problems at all. Be aware that the ISA is actually provided by Birmingham Midshires. I also applied to BM at the same time as SAGA and found the paperwork for the latter took an extra week, suggesting there is a "chain" of processing between SAGA and BM which might explain some delays. However, your experience suggests the Royal Mail might be contributing to the problem.
Word of advice when you DO get the paperwork: send it back using the Recorded Signed For -or- Special Delivery (Next Day) service. (The extra postage costs are worth it for peace of mind.)0 -
Many thanks for the advice. I made my umteenth phone call to SAGA today as their third letter just hasn't materialised. They again asked me to confirm my address which all tallies with my original Online Application and they are now sending the paperwork via Courier which will require a signature on receipt. We have had problems with Royal Mail in the past but still find it difficult to accept that they've managed to lose all three letters even though we are still getting Post. All very frustrating but looking at the Interest rate, may well have been worth the hassle in the long run0
