Hi,
Ordered one of those Dell Pc's that was on offer but Dell annoyingly cancelled the order !!
So looking for a 'cheap' desktop PC for my uncle just to use the internet one around £500 mark max. Need to include a TFT if possible and a cheap printer etc etc.
Any suggestions ???
Thanks

Loads of online places ! ! Shouldn't be paying £500 if it's just for surfing ! !
check out http://www.cclonline.co.uk it's in Leeds so if you're anywhere near you can collect ! ! No delivery charge.! Total Noob !0 -
You could be inundated with recommends.
Have a look around here:

Any of them are adequate.0 -
thanks very much, just looking for a good deal.
Sorry asap i mean i'd need it next weekend but i know what most places are like for delivery0 -
Try dell outlet:
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/default.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dfh
Example of a PC for under two hundred pounds
Well, ok £232.65 after tax (currently free delivery). It won't include a TFT monitor but you could go pick a 17" one up for £99.97 from PC World
So, a grand total of £332.62 for a pretty decent machine. Dell outlet will deliver quicker than dell because the machines are pre-made. Mine took 5 days to be delivered (they have to send them from Ireland).0 -
i got mine from pc world..reconditioned.....£240 quid....ive found a link for you that will hopefully work

Not bad, but I'd hope for a laptop for that price?

Personally, i already had a 19" TFT monitor, and I don't need a laptop. Plus, the desktop is a fair bit beefier.
I would agree that the laptop is rather good value though0 -

I find Dell good value and reliable
the following site lists all the current offers
http://www.dmxdimension.com/blogcategory/dell_uk_dimension_c521.html
but make a note of the E-Value code and order via Quidco for 4.5% back (before VAT & Delivery)
Dell delivery is free at the moment - but when that ends the price will drop by £60 instead - it's called marketing.
When configuring - reduce the warranty to get the best price - and try and choose a model which has exactly what you want - rather than upgrade a lesser one - it's usually cheaper that way.0 -
Always found this Dell reseller good value for money, full kit from £275 , NOT inc Vat.
