Cheap Planters
I need some large planters for my garden (at least 50cm x 50cm x 50cm) for some instant impact. I dont really care if they are round / square etc or need to be painted.
But Im looking for really cheap ones or alternatives that dont need too much work and will look reasonable (I remember seeing a program which used air ducts used as planters).
Any suggestions?

Try 99p shops or Poundland and I think Wilkinsons have some reduced at the moment. We once had an old butler's sink that someone threw out and that looked great planted.0

Try Freegle/Freecycle.
Some catering establishments use 5ltr plastic containers for condiments. You could ask there i.e. local uni/college, hotels...
Drainage pipes can also be used in groups.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out the local stores.
Eurozulu, thank you for the link - did I misread where the decimal point is? Call me stingy but I dont consider £320 for a container cheap!0 -
Wilkos isnt bad as said. I sometime get some plants for 20p and nowt wrong with them. I like carnations as they easy for cuttings and Bowes mauve a lovely wallflower with masses of colour. Aldi and Lidl sell cheap plants sometimes
Morrisons also have cheap plants too0 -

Try your local tip. Lots of decent stuff gets thrown out there, if you can get to it before it goes into landfill! Our chaps don't charge much for most stuff, though anything terracotta goes for a premium.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Odd place is Tiger Stores, brought a small galvanised tin bath about a foot long and 10 inches wide for £4 - drilled some holes in the bottom and planted up with some herbs, looks great. My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
