I am a complete novice when it comes to buying computers.
I want to have a tablet to take on holidays etc.
I have a laptop, A Toshiba Equium, thats as much as I know.
I have no idea what Android means:)
I am far away from the telephoen exchange so cant use Iplayer
it takes hours to download a half hour programme so dont bother any more.
Any ideas about the GoTab, its being advertised on Ideal World at the moment.

It says
Uses an Arm Cortex A8 1.2GHz Processor
1Gb DDR3 RAM
4gb of internal storage (2gb is used for the system
Any thoughts please.
Its £189.89 and 60p postage

Somewhat over-priced for the spec.
For the same price you can get a 16Gb RIM Playbook. This uses QNX, which like Android, is a *nix OS. With the new OS 2 onboard it can access all the Android apps and no longer needs a Blackberry phone to link to the net.
Also, Adobe no longer develop Flash for any platform other than Windows or Mac OSX (not that this is an issue with the much-better HTML5.0 and CSS3 coming onstream)Never Knowingly Understood.

It really depends on your budget. You want something that will still be usable in a couple of years time, if not longer.
PCPro has a test of a whole range of Tablets this month. Worth a read to see what they think.
Found THIS on Amazon. Slightly better spec and probably from the same factory.Never Knowingly Understood.
