Has anyone apart from me noticed that the OP stated s/he was in the motor trade?

I have no idea what the OP does but if you are in the motor trade you generally have to get a different policy to normal people.

Oh and to all those who state s/he will go to prison if s/he doesn't tell his insurers stop talking out of your behinds.

The worse an insurance company will do if you have a fault accident and haven't informed them of previous incidents is cancel your insurance and chase you for costs of the third parties.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

    How recent is recently please.

You should inform your ins. for information only. (for now)

Ask her for her insurance details, she should have informed them anyway but as they havent contacted you I presume she hasnt.
She is breaching her terms and conditions by not doing so. She could well have her policy voided or cancelled and then she is in big trouble trying to get any kind of insurance. You will still be paid however and she will be chased for the money piad out by your insurance company.
If she wont give you them, just turn it over to your insurance company and let them deal with it. Thats what you pay them for.

I really wish, for their own good that people would actually read the terms and conditions before ticking the box saying that they have.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    Hi,

The chance of going to prison is small, but not impossible.

If your insurer voided your insurance you would be open to prosecution for driving without insurance. An undesirable situation if you'd just caused a serious accident...

The maximum sentence you can get for driving uninsured is a fine and a ban
