Any Galaxy alarm engineer's present?

Hi all,
We have a Galaxy series 2 alarm at our house, and the display has just started showing the message "Master Reset Required".
The system was installed a year ago by our builder while we were having our entire house renovated (we were living elsewhere at the time), and as such don't have any sort of service contract. (Getting the builder back in to look at it due to it only being a year old is easier said then done!)
Anyway, we only have the one PIN code, that which we normally use to arm/disarm the alarm. We don't know if what we have is the master/engineer's PIN code.
If I were to power the system on & off (it's wired via a circuit breaker) would it solve the problem?
And would it keep all the zone settings and allow us to continue using the system with our existing PIN code?
Any advice appreciated, and if (as I suspect) it's a case of getting an engineer out then can anyone recommend one in the Greater London (South West/Middlesex) area?
Many thanks
