Why oh why is it so difficult to buy an ebook and read it on my Kobo??
Amazon books don't work and although I have tried I cannot get Calibre to make them readable.
So having an iTunes voucher, after lots of hastle I got a credit on the iTunes store, bought a couple of books which downloaded into iTunes but how do I read them???
They are drm protected so again Calibre cannot do anything, so I cannot read them onKobo, iTunes or my Macbook.
Looks like money waisted again!

Have you tried downloading the software that came with the Kobo? I don't actually have a Kobo but I have a Sony and I get ebooks off the library. Your local library may do them, but if they do not Bexley Library and Hertfordshire library let you join just for ebooks.
Sorry, do not know how to convert the ones you have bought, but have you registered the Kobo (not sure if you need to like you do Sonys). What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

After purchasing and paying for the book from the Amazon store, download the books for free from Google in .mobi format or similar. These should then work on your Kobo.
This might be illegal. It's about as morally wrong as using your car as a shed though.Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”

Same old story I am afraid , if you buy a book(paper version) from Vision Express then you can't read it with Specsavers glasses. There are ways around it but it would be against forum rules for members to tell you how. It really is a pain in the one-a-one-r-one-s-one-e (cf PITA) but all eBook publishers and the eReader manufacturers all want to make you buy their product. I really think they should get themselves around a table and use open formats and the DRM would work on all.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Why not buy books from the Kobo store, W.H.Smith ?
Buying a Kobo and trying to download books from Amazon (Kindle) store or iTunes (iPad) store is not the wisest of moves.
