I can't receive payments through paypal. I have 2 auction from ebay finished and the winners are trying to pay but it shows as pending on ebay and then gets cancelled, without even being mentioned on the paypal site. I have tried emailing paypal but they still haven't replied. I see they have a helpline, but am I likely to end up paying loads on the call? It's an 0870 number.
What do you think I should do? I have contacted the buyers and told them there's a problem and that they can send a cheque instead, but I want to sort out the paypal problem anyway.

I sent the invoices through ebay, with the paypal link on them.
I already had been paid through paypal the day before and I've used it before to pay and receive payments, although not recently, without problems.0 -
Have they actually completed the process of paying and had a receipt? Or it just doesn't let them do it?
You;ve checked your account isn't on hold or anything of that nature?
Sorry, not a lot of help here!! I've never had any paypal payment problems so don't know what to suggest.
PS. I found this new number after googling:
Telephone number for Paypal:
Paypal Telephone Number: 08707307191 (regular one)
Paypal Contact Number: 0035314369001 (new one? like you're dialling outside the UK!).Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

The land line to paypal is in Ireland, just fyi.
Is it possible your buyers have somehow ended up with the wrong email address for your paypal account?
Try confirming the correct address with them, to see if that helps. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I have also just strted having paypal problems.
The money goes in ok - but since monday i can't spend it...
When i complete ebay checkout, then sign in to paypal, the message is "can't use your card" ( I have sufficient in paypal - and there is enough in the current account) then when i try to manually send through paypal, I am informed that I have not enrolled on the extended use program (why should I have to, but i have anyway).
GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I have previously used paypal for 3 years with no problems - and now i can't use the money i have accrued.

Can only suggest repeated emails - they do work but not very quickly!
Or ringing. Could be the only option to actually make it work.Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

But when you call it costs 0870 rates (and I've tried , but there are "a large volume of callers, and we can't be bothered ...blah blah")
And the email option takes for ever to receive a response, let alone enter into any kind of discourse.0 -
I have to respectfully disagree with the email comment. I had 2 separate problems late last year and both were solved by email.
If you want it sorted though, you're gonna have to make a decision on how to handle it. No other way round it.Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
