hi, could anyone tell me if i need to declare a garage subsiding due to poor guttering fifteen years ago, the surveyer pointed out that no structural work needed to be done and it is not attached to the house. We did have work done to rectify the problem however and there has been no further movement the insurance is ridiculous at the moment and i wondered what would happen if i did not mention it anymore
thanks

If you don't declare it and something happened in the future, your buildings policy would be voided because of non disclosure.
I personally wouldn't want to take the chance. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Don't mention the s-word to an insurer0

You shouldnt have changed insurers, they have an obligation to renew your insurance. The reason the price is high if you take a new policy is because the new insurer has no idea how well the subsidence repair has been done.0
