'eBay Listing Removed: Inappropriate Seller Terms'

I know there's free speach and all that but please could I politely request that my querie doesn't spark off another debate about the rights and wrongs of selling tickets on Ebay ? I respect everyone's views but think these subject discussions become just a little too personal. I will if required contribute to a new thread on the subject  but for now.....
How many times can you receive 'eBay Listing Removed: Inappropriate Seller Terms' emails before you are suspended ?!?!?
( I just wanna shift a few tickets so I can get my money back asap
) Is there anyway you're able to get around these rules ( apart from not breaking the rules in the first place  ) ? I'm sorry, I sound so dishonest asking that
I've had three recently !
1 ) Your listing(s) contains the following information:
Day: 16 Month: November
Yes, ok, I realise you're not suppose to sell tickets that you won't have in hand within 30 days
2 ) Your listing(s) contains the following information:
As soon as the tickets are received they will be forwarded immediately to the winning bidder.
What's wrong with that ?!?! They could very well be received in the next week or so !
3 ) Your listing(s) contains the following information:
Nivember 2007
I presumed Ebay 'robots' checked the dates in the top description section ? I'd left that blank and as my 'error' contained the mispelled date, whereas my listing didn't, do you think I'm right in presuming that my listing was reported by another Ebayer ?

Normally its 3 strikes & you're out!
Read the rules & list within them, it will save other eBayers reporting you!
I'd wait till October before trying to sell these again as you're only allowed to sell items on ebay when you have them in your hand or know that you will have them & able to dispatch within 30 days.0 -

Thanks TKPeters
I'd already reached 3, hence my question. I appreciate that I was breaking the rules but gave it a go at my own cost ( as I said, I wanted to hopefully get back the moneys spent on my CC card this month ) The items were all scheduled to run at around the same time, and as I wasn't around to keep an eye on them, the 3 strikes came flooding in quick succession !
Yes, I think I'll try and wait now until later in the year. :rolleyes:0 -
Surely though, the 'big sellers' out there are getting away with breaking this rule time after time ? Is it a case that someone has to report a listing or do you think Ebay automatically picks up on these listings ? Mind you, if that was the case then wouldn't ALL of the tickets being sold for events later in the year be cancelled ?!

It's not necessarily 3 strikes, it can be fewer, or more, it depends on how serious the offences are and how frequent they are in relation to the length of your ebay career.
Just put compliant listings up and you'll have nae bother
If you feel some of the removals were unjust, you may be able to appeal them and have them stricken off. My TV is broken!

Thanks Fay. I don't want these ticket experiences ruining my account as I sell many other things successfully ! Again, I know it would be my own fault if it does.
I may question the one strike at least.
Just noticed, ( how unorganised am I today ?!?! ) that one of this listings that was cancelled actually got sold !! Best get in touch with the buyer quick ! They're sure to of had the email cancellation through from Ebay too ?!
Edit: Oh well, I can't generate an invoice now even though the item was sold...0 -
Having searched for Take That tickets since release, most listings on Ebay state that tickets will be sent out as soon as received from promoter
So how come yours is different?0 -

I don't know
Don't get me wrong, I broke the rules, got caught and all that... I'm not sulking or annoyed, just wondering how and why so many can get away with it yet the odd few can't ?
Perhaps all these ticket sales generate too big a profit for Ebay to want blanket cancellations and just cancel those few listings that are reported ?0 -
AFAIK, you can list items before you have them in hand, as long as it's not 30 days before you have them in hand, and as long as you state you don't yet have them.
Grounds for appeal imo.My TV is broken!

wouldnt surprise me if some of the bigger ticket sellers/touts on there report others to get their listings taken off, less competition....:rolleyes:0

Why not try selling them on Gumtree.com
Having said that, for some reason if you try to search Take that it says 'nothing found'
even though if you search manually they are there!!0
