Fresh,
Keep your chin up - you go around giving some great advice on here so just tell yourself what you would tell somebody if they were in your situation.
Hold out 'til tomorrow and get in touch with them on the phone. Tell them you're paying the most you can and have already increased your payment. Tell them that the charges are unfair and the amount owed is now disproportionate to the original loan amount. They have a choice of £7 or nothing.
This is just a small blip in the grand scheme of all of the other hard work you've done! Keep smiling and muddling through - it'll probably get worse before it gets better but just imagine the feeling you'll get at the end
.

Maybe it is time to put the money worries to one side for a bit?
If you have possible kidney failure, are facing operations, and are in a great deal of pain, should you really be on here right now?
Or should you be on the phone to NHS24 (08454 24 24 24) to discuss whether or not you should be calling an ambulance?
Posted out of concern for you - hence the inclusion of the phone number.0 -
Its not kidney faliure, just (just!) damage, I was speaking to them yesterday when i was on here - was trying to take my mind off it but thank you SO much xx
RESULT - got a reply today saying no you were given wrong info - your balance is 724 - no charges being added on etc..
due to the concern we caused we would like to offer £200 compensation and reduce your balance to 524.... was not looking for anything like that.
The man who replied is one who has dealt with my account for last year and is so helpful. So many people on here say not to deal with DCA but I have contacts at all of mine who seem to be so helpful and lovely maybe I am lucky..
thinking of printing the email and framing it - something I never thought I would see!

I am so pleased, and very glad now that I have always been upfront and friendly over email with them and offered £1 increases per month where I can - never thought that would happen.
