its only money for god sake.
easy to say that when its not you
perhaps you could be really really helpful and pay the debt for the OP,or just walk away when you cant be constructive?0 -
Oh my goodness, please don't get yourself in a state!!, I know it is absolutely horrible when you can't see anyway out of your situation.
My advice to you would be, firstly, don't email them. Write to them, copying the extract that you put on your posting here. Give them blacked out copies of your bank statements showing the payments coming out of your account and the date they started from and ask that all interest added since this date is removed and the balance of your account is recalculated.
I am in no way an expert like some of the fabulous people who give their time on here, but I am the master of sleepless nights over my debts and, it always feels just a little bit better to do something constructive and tackle your situations head on with the companies who are actually plaguing you!!
I am also sure that there is something you can do with these companies to get them to release copies of all your previous paperwork to you, but, again, not being one of those experts on here I am not sure what it is (some kind of standard letter and a cheque for a certain amount). I', sure someone can tell you what it is.
I know platitudes don't help but it will all work out in the end.

Hey Freshstart

As everyone else has already said, you can't do anything about this now until Monday so if you can, try to relax a little over the weekend.
I normally allow myself ten minutes to concentrate on being upset and annoyed and think of nothing else and then I don't think about it again until I'm dealing with it. Most of the time, I don't manage a full ten minutes because during that time I realise that there will have to be some form of solution to the problem and it's only a couple of days until I can sort it out.
This probably sounds unhelpful but it's something someone told me when I was upset about my 30% interest credit card (ok, 29.9%) repayments on £5.5k and it really did help.
Like wanna-be-mortgage-free said - think of how far you've come.
Try and have a nice weekend

Get it in writing to them, get an official complaint in. I'm sure people on here can help you with guidlines they are supposed to follow to throw at them.
I'm fairly sure they are supposed to 'treat customers fairly' and not add excessive interest and charges to the point that it stops the consumer making inroads into the debt (or words to that effect). It might be worth a scount around on their website to see what promises( if any they make) in terms of how they work well with debt management companies, etc etc (always useful to quote their own stuff back at them
.
If they refuse and still play hardball then just take them to the Ombudsman - it'll cost them time and money to sort out then and hopefully the Ombudsman will put a rock up them for you.
Stay strong.

P.S I don't like the fact people get into debt but it happens, the thing I hate most is that when people start to take steps to repay debts and the banks and card companies refuse to help. Why kick a man when he's down. Grrr.Making my money go further with MSE :j

Hi Freshstart
How are you today? Hopefully you feel a little better knowing there are people on here who will try and support you.
As already mentioned only deal with your creditors in writing and send everything recorded delivery. Also don't sign it, just use a computer signature.
Take care.DFW Nerd no: 149

Im sure PW intended no malice in the post, so dont take it to heart.
Speaking from what you told us in your post he did have a valid point. He couldnt know what you are going through because you didnt say. The response may have been different if you had said. And calling people stupid is really not called for. We'll put it down to you not feeling well.
Hope everything works out for you and you feel better soon.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
