In the cupboard was a nice tomato and chilli napolina pasta sauce so that went into the slowy while the ham went in the microwave to soften it enough for chopping. Also in the freezer were some chopped shrooms (like that surprised anyone??) and some chopped courgettes so a handful of each of those got tossed in too along with the sliced pepper. The ham was rouchly chopped and that follwed the veg into the pot. A quick stir and then to cook for a while. Later I'll boil some pasta and stir it all in together.
Hopefully it will taste ok!!
looks lovely! I'm hungry now:o0 -

Hi Snap-ant and everyone else,
I'm sorry if I seem ignorant, I don't mean to be.
I'm on limited time on the internet. I have no job and me and the wife only have limited time on our dongle.
I'm trying so hard to find a job and it's not easy when your my age (52). I have 3 kids, 8, 11 and 15. they are having the hardest time of all with dad not working and them seeing everything being taken away as time goes on. phones, Sky, etc.
I try and visit as much as possible as you guys are great with all the bargains you find. The grabbits are great too, but we have to watch our usage as we do it all on a limited contract with a dongle.
Don't be fooled by me on the quiz. I know what i know and that's why why sometimes I'm really fast. You may have noticed when I'm good I'm brilliant and really fast (modest) but when I get it wrong I'm rubbish.
I'll try and join in more. i'm really sorry.
Can i add that I've had private messages (PMs) asking if I'm someone else? I'm not caz2073 or Old Bear or Zoso, if that helps.
Sorry.
Ceriain :A
ps. Love to 3dogs, your messages make me cry.
hi,
i am also sorry you are having a tough time. it made me think back t o times when money has been tight for me. hope you can stay strong enough for some wombling and coupons. i would very much recommend topcashback and hotdeals too as you never know what you might find.
all i know is the harder you try the better things get.
i was thinking that you could test out your wifi in the area or maybe someone nearby will let you have their passcode so you can use their net. i use my mobile sometimes and check net on it. my contract is 5.32 a month.
just ideas, i'm sure people have plenty more. Miss laid only spends 10 a week on food. maybe she can give some tips too.grocery challenge 9.86/600 -

I know complete waste of time! I went to take my documents sat, was in there an hour filling the form in cause she then transfers it word to word to her form, why couldnt it all be done in 1 go? so due to this w@~ker , i lost friday afternoon cause was sat on a slip road waiting recovery for 2 1/2 hrs, lost my car, got bad whiplash, lost sat all day going to police station in another town, looking at cars, lost sun went to look at cars again, lost today at docs and hospital, and its fine HE CAN GET AWAY WITH IT!!:mad::mad::mad:. Sorry im peed off
And so you should be! I tell you what, I'd be going to see the CO of your station and giving him a piece of your mind too. And be requestinbg that someone get off their backside and check any local CCTV of the time it happened. You might waste your breath but you just never know....these days the more help you can actually give the police the better chance you have of getting somewhere.
What was make and model and colour of the car? How much of a partial plate did you get? If its very close and was an obscure colour, DVLA or the manufacturers might help you narrow it down a bit.
Its like when we got burgled. Next day the police came round to take prints. A few hours later I had a name a photo, a corroborating id and his trainer type and shoe size! the police meanwhile were still scratching their backsides.0 -

Well done on the new job Frequent :T:T:T
Hope we can soon say the same to you Cerian
My DH is a self employed decorator....but he's the opposite to you Frequent. Went back to working for himself after being made redundant last year from a job he'd had for 10 years.
When my ( and all the other crew) contract, with local authority was terminated, thought i'd be ok, but to be honest everyone around here is skint so decorating is last on the list of things to do.
Can earn more on the tools but the work is just not regular enough, best of luck to O/H. (will still do some private jobs at weekends)Trying to decide what to have for dinner, I fancy something that my mouth wont get bored with.
Wimbledon started today, so balls maybeI know really pee's me off :mad::mad: as my car is a write off, im now car less DH doesnt drive and i got to find a different one! and pay out, good job i have some savings to get another one
Hi Bubbs, uninsured drivers, the bain of modern Britain, wonders how other countries deal with this issue. ?
Have you had the ambulance chasers asking you about injury claims yet ?
FWIW my mirror got taken off last year, driver didnt stop, my premium went up :mad::mad:
Thanks again everyone for all the support and lovely pm's. :TBack to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
I think it's this joke of a government who need to be blamed, not the Police. It's the same story throughout the country, cut-backs. Look at the armed forces, just had another lot of redundancies to supposedly save money.
I know from personal experience that the people taking redundancy will be getting a large lump sum of tens of thousands of pounds and a pension paid from the day they leave. Their jobs at the UK based units then get contracted out to large civilian companies who charge a hell of a lot more than any Serviceman would ever get.
The Police Service is going the same way. Recently there has been talk of contractors running all Police station duties. It's only a matter of time before the UK has private security patrolling the streets too.
Cuts, cuts, cuts (I should add an 'n' to that word) - that's what it's all about with these jokers.
Unfortunately Bubbs' situation is going to get more and more common.:(
I agree 100%... But may I add that the Police have such a lot of paperwork to do for every incident, they just throw things out the window to save on sitting by their desk making reports after reports... Its pathetic...
I was talking to a good friend of mine who had been a CID and was now an Inspector and because of his age (52), they put him behind a desk!!! He was telling us the amount of paperwork that's involved with such trivial reporting's... He jacked it in the end, he'd had enough of being sat in an office doing something he had not gone into.. Like he said, "if I wanted to sit in an office all day, I would have gone into being a secretary or clerk"
I do sympathies with you love... xxxxhugsxxx0
