The Father's Day SELs have an expiry date of 24/06/2012 here, does that mean we're looking at a further reduction on Monday? :think:0

Not sure if this is just me but...
DS1 has informed me that it is their school prom on Thurs (loads of notice as usual) and tickets are £32:eek:. He is also saying he wants me to pay for the hire of a dinner suit for the event, I am saying no. He has several perfectly good suits, one of which was bought for him only 2 months ago. The reason for this is that he had a prom last year Y11, where I went the whole hog, hired the suit, bought the bow tie and wing collar shirt etc, this was the end on Y11. He will be having a Y13 celebration (prom/party etc) to mark the end of sixth form/school. I just don't get why there is a Y12 prom, don't mind him going but have refused to hire the suit.

I certainly don't think so, between school and kids they think money grows on trees. Less than a week notice, no good.SaverSavvy123 wrote: »Am I being an awful mum:o:oI made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0

This time, your shop would have been £ 7.36 cheaper at Asda so we'll give you a voucher for the difference back!**

Nope you're not a bad mum, it is getting ridiculous the amount of money these proms cost. My DS is yr6 and they are having a formal prom. One of the mum's wanted to hire a limo between us for 4 hours to take them and bring them back:eek::eek: I don't know why yr12 isn't just an end of year party. Surely prom's should just be when leaving:cool:0

That one tripped me up as well. The 12p barcode reported was 34008 not 34088.
Ah that's where I went wrong then!
Was half thinking about whoopsie shopping tonight but the heavens have opened and I don't fancy taking DD out in it, we got caught in it earlier and got soaked so don't much fancy a repeat. Think I'll wait 'til tomorrow when I'll get peace to go by myself ...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
