Still worth looking in the Asda Local stores - got a few more things this morning (sorry if they have been posted but they were new to me).

Asda Conchiglie wholewheat pasta - 48p
They also had the Asda wholewheat pasta penne at 48p
Lots of varieties of the Uncle Ben's Express Rice - 50p
All the jars of the Pataks curry sauces - 50p
    283 g jars of Patak's Biryani and Patak's Rogan Josh curry paste - 50p
    Colman's Dried Mustard - (57g) bbe October 2013 - 50p

It's strange how in some of the Asda Locals stuff is reduced because I popped to another Asda near home on way back and none of the above were going cheap - yet the other week I had loads of things from the second store.

Hi everyone - have made it back from a very soggy wet HIghland Show. Took 5 men to push my car out of the foot deep mud bath that was supposed to be a car park!

Mharz & blondie, sorry I've been MIA for a while, been manic with work. Away to Wales on Mon / Tue then should get back to some normality and T meet ups! x

    Morning all

Thought I would let you know what happened with my toy order from direct.
I had an email cancelling but later got a call from the store saying that it had arrived
    and could I collect.

At the desk I said I was surprised as I had had a
    message saying it was cancelled.
The SA then said she would need to call Direct and they told her
I couldnt it because it should have been cancelled.
Despite a long discussion she would not give me the parcel:(

So if this happens to you be careful what you say to the SA
just pretend everything is normal and hopefully you will get your order.
I wish I had kept quiet at the desk.

If I had had a call from Tesco asking me to pick something up, I'm pretty sure I would have 'gone off on one' as they say - the fact they had rang you and it was there, and you made a special trip, for good customer relations they should have let you have it.

I would ring Head Office Customer Services and complain. Explain how busy you were at the time and how you made a special trip to the store, for nothing.

Having said that, nothing surprises me with Tosco. I ordered some cheap lamps, they took the money instantly, got the order confirmed. Went to store to pick them up and they couldnt find a trace of them. On checking they had refunded my account within a day, but I never received a cancellation email.

Hugs to those who need them

I am laughing my head off at frequent's gift to his neighbour!

Just back from asda, they still had a few cheapy bits and pieces, and proper angel delight is 30p where the asda own ones were 44p. These are the ones that were 11p a few weeks ago. They also had Forgetting Sarah Marshall on bluray for £1.38 which might be store specific

And then my car drove me to t homeplus. In there I found the 48p rolson stuff but they only had spring clamps and safety goggles. And then I found the simoniz bug and tar wipes for 18p!! I unashamedly grabbed the lot because misery guts' bike gets covered in bugs, and I never find anything in that t's! Thought I was gonna get trouted as the sa was swiping some dvd's for me and she saw the price of the wipes and asked me what they were for and why I needed so many but she was fine. Still no 4p socks though :-(

Like it's any of her business! Cheeky dairy person. Hope no-one asks me a question like that (especially on a bad day).

Thanks to reading it ages ago, I snaffled 5 of the Tapas/Indian thingymabobs at 25p each so a nice £3.50 off the bill which I think £2.25 off the bill. The chicken was £4 or 2 for £7 or 3 for £10 (I think). The woman in front got the first chicken and I managed to get the last one. If I'd known, would that multi-discount thing have worked i.e. 2 x 40p minus £1 so free chicken? I have a lot to learn still!

    You're welcome!:D

Just back from scoring the biggest whoopsie haul I've had in years! £125 quidsworth for just over £6!:j(90% off then 3 different multibuys, one was bacon/porkchops 3 for £10, one was tapas/curry [which combine which was a nice surprise], and I have no idea where the third one came from - "MEAT 2FR£6/3 FR£8 -2.50". I got a heck of a lot of meat and none of them appear to be marked with this offer, can anyone shed some light?) The woman stood next to me got even more stuff than I did, the bay was nearly overflowing :rotfl:

    "MEAT 2FR£6/3 FR£8 -2.50".

I think this is the BBQ meat pack -£3.50 or 2FR£6/3 FR£8.:)
