For some reason I thought MAMs was something to do with baby food :o

Which Tesco magazine is it in? Is it the new price flop magazine or it it the proper magazine - I think I have the later but not seen the price flops yet if there is a recent one.

My head is still cotton wool. We had a lovely holiday and then we had to come back to spend the last week firstly trying to regain control of the garden and then the rest of this week I've been sent demented by estate agents and solicitors .....

I think even venturing into T this weekend will seen normal and sane :D

    Afternoon all

I'm well behind and have no hope of catching up but need to have an off topic rant

My sons school have rejected his leave request for him to have the Friday before we get married, the Monday after and the half day on the Tuesday as the break up at 1 on that day for sch holidays!! So only 2 and 1/2 days in total.

I'm really annoyed as he has only had a couple of days of sick and no other absence throughout the year and we have booked it as near to the school holidays as possible!!!

    Ok rant over

    Thanks

I feel for you, this happened to us too, I sent a formal letter asking for 4 days off and it was rejected they said that my dd had already had too much time off, I wrote back asking them to reconsider and reminded them that the only reason my dd had had any time off this year was because she fell and broke 2 bones in her foot while in school and during a lesson!! They wrote back finally giving permission but said all requests for leave we're now being rejected for all pupils, apparently it's the local authority who made this rule.

I know so many parents who just take their childen out of school, one boy has just returned from a 2 week holiday with his mam and was back in school for 4 days before going on a 2 week holiday with his dad! I know both parents want a holiday with their child but none asked permission and the school does nothing and someone who asks just get refused! Makes you wonder why bother
