Have to be careful what I say here...it's against MSE rules to give medical advice/opinions. :o

    Just for the record, a normal BMI is 20 - 25; although some argue that it's 18.5 - 25.

Don't think what I said counts as medical advice. :)

Noooo just good dietary comments. I'm sure MSE would be happy for resident docs to comment generally on healthy lifestyles. Very much appreciated too, thanks karlie.

Don't fall for it Karlie. He's just hiding the chips. There's probably a big bowl full just out of shot :rotfl:

  • Evening guys!!

I could do with your advice on a "dilemma" I have at the mo. I have a chance to fly out to Greece for 4 days and all I would need to pay for is my flights, which are just over £250. I can get the time off work one way or another, and have done the sums and can definitely afford it.

Would you go? It's a chance for some very welcome sun, a gorgeous place to go to and I know the people there.

My only bugbear is that when I went last year I got stuck there as my flight home got cancelled because of the strikes and I swore I would never go greek again. Surely that couldn't/wouldn't happen again???

It helps to have "someone else" to run this past. It's thanks to you lot (and mr t of course!!) that I don't have to worry about the money for probably the first time in my life :-)

Struggling to see the 'dilema'!!! Go for it!!!!!!!:)

if T's are playing an underhand game then they certainly aren't telling the staff .
over the last few days we've informed friends who work for T's about the £5 meal deal much to their amazement .

My local extra thought it would be really good service to print their own cobbled together SEL advertising the blooming deal!!!:eek::eek::eek: Went for some more & no garlic bread!:eek::eek::eek:

I heard it's because she takes in washing ;)

Guess you'll have this on your radar but it just occurred to me today. Honey nut shred dies are on BOGOF at £2.29. If anyone still has the 50p off vouchers you can use 2 bringing price down to £1.29 for 2 boxes. Then claim JTD at 21p per box. That makes it 44p a box.
    Hope my Maths is right.

After all that pizza cereal will be a welcome break x

Thanks for reminding me about the vouchers. My O/H loves these. Not sure that your get JTD on them though as they are £2.08 for one box in Mr A. I may be wrong though as not good at maths. :o

just about to catch up just thort i would let u know i was trouted in T's at Middlebrook today. But i got my own way in the end :)

bought the B&J meal deal x4 (on its own)

Went to a manned till as i had done a largish shop (£45 down to £21)

anyway put them through 1st and cashier called over supervisor so i asked was there a problem and he said an offer has kicked in but the store wasnt offering it. so i said well obviously you are or the discount wouldnt have kicked in. Supervisor came over and i didnt give cashier a chance start. told her id seen it online and presumed you hadnt put the sign up. if your offering online why cant you offer the same in superstore. the offer has kicked in automatically meaning you are/should be honouring the deal. she said they had been told not to sell them by her manager. to which i replied well Head office has decided that you should or they wouldnt have the offer on the system so if you want me to give them a call to see if they believe your should/shouldnt be id be more than wilin to clarify the situation.

she agreed to sell them to me but as she walked away she got on the phone and instruted someone to remove the garlic bread from the freezers
