Quidco claim rules - bit unfair?

Hi, firstly please feel free to move this if necessary, wasn't sure which board to choose...
I booked a hotel through Quidco with Hotels.com 8 weeks ago (15th April). It had cancellation rights, so I didn't expect it to track until after the hotel stay actually took place, which was last week on Tue and Wed. 9 days later, it hasn't tracked, so I went to complete a missing cashback claim, and it says I can't because my purchase is more than 7 weeks ago (only by 4 days... irritating). But surely it must be 7 weeks from the date when you would expect it to track i.e. last week?
Is there anyone on here from Quidco who can help? It's not that I've been lazy and ignored the rules, I assumed the claim period couldn't begin until I'd actually stayed in the hotel and so forfeited my cancellation rights etc, if I'd claimed a month ago surely Quidco would just have said you can't claim until you've completed your stay!
Many thanks.
PS My visit definitely went through Quidco because my activity confirms Hotels.com on 15th April...

Things usually track in a few days no matter where you buy from, if you cancelled the cashback would usually cancel as the payout date would be after your stay
Think you will have to chalk this one up and learn from it0 -
But I remember it said that my purchase may not track until after my visit if I had cancellation rights! Unless I'm going mad and misread it.0

just read and seems im right,it will track in a few days but will only "confirm" once you have stayed
erms & conditions
This retailer will only confirm transactions/claims after you have completed your stay. Claims will be put on hold until your trip has been completed and the confirmation process will only take effect after a completed booking.
Please allow up to 10 weeks after completing your stay for cashback to become confirmed. If your cashback has not confirmed after this time please get in touch.
Members should only use voucher codes listed on Quidco. If you use voucher codes or gift vouchers that are not listed on Quidco your cashback may not track or be declined.
Cashback may only be paid on the net value excluding VAT, all other taxes, surcharges and any additional costs such as delivery.0 -
I obviously misunderstood their use of 'confirm' then - wish they had put in brackets 'but it should still track in a few days', but annoying to lose nearly £50 like that. Oh well, as you say, maybe just have to chalk it up.0

OP, there is a specific Quidco thread on this forum where a Quidco company rep will help you with your query. See:

I also had an issue with Hotels.com recently. I had gone via TopCashback and after TopCashback submitted a query to the affiliate / Hotels.com, my cashback has now tracked. Keep on at the Quidco rep if you don't get it sorted, although they are usually pretty good.0 -
Aha fantastic, that's what I was looking for. (Admin feel free to delete this thread now if you want to 'tidy up' lol)0

I've had problems with Quidco too I've had lots of purchases tracked but never confirmed or paid0
