Access to work don't fund hearing aids any more, they say NHS aids are just as good as private.
I had to go private as my local audiology department couldn't fit suitable aids as I have a pacemaker. I arranged an interest free payment plan with my audiologist so that I didn't need to shell out £3,000 up front. I have widex passion 440 aids, plus a cheaper set of aids (I black out so mine are away being fixed a lot), bought a years worth of batteries (NHS supply them free for their own aids but not private ones) plus a head set, special head phones and insurance for that.
Some private audiologists are really expensive but mine was great and gave me loads of options with regards to which aids to get. My wider aids are so small that no one knows they are in unless I'm playing with the tubing.0 -
Would a 0%-on-purchases credit card work at all? That's what we did when spending 4 grand on a wheelchair.
Bonus points if you can get one that also offers cashback on purchases!0 -

In that case the 0% card would probably be the way to go. You can pay it off monthly, as much as you can, at no penalty for missing a payment, and if you haven't managed to pay it all off by the end of the 0% period you have the savings there to avoid getting stiffed for interest charges.
In the meantime your savings continue to earn interest.0 -

Rather than get a loan, have you considered one of the online hearing aid shops? There's Hearing Direct, Lloyds, and Embrace Hearing also sells hearing aids online. These are all far, far less expensive than purchasing at retail.0

If cost is the issue, then hearing aids can be obtained free of charge on the NHS. You will be dealt with by a qualified audiologist. If you wish to go private, and there are many many individual reasons why people choose to do so, you will be dealt with by a qualified audiologist.
Choosing from the companies listed in post #7 above means that you are not tested by a qualified audiologist, and there is no fitting or aftercare provided.
Personally, I would want my eyes tested and specs supplied by someone with full qualifications. Same with my teeth and my ears - far too precious really. [Declaration of interest: I am a fully qualified audiologist].0
