I'm not sure, everything to do with this is at home, and I'm stuck at work. As much as I'd like to involve the police I don't want to waste their time.
I've just offered 25% of the debt now, pretty much all I have, and he won't take it. If I was at home I'd just go and lock myself in the car.0 -
CCJs and HCEOs are not really my thing but i know you also need to get stay put on the writ of fifa as well as the CCJ set aside I would strongly suggest you post on here

Hell, I'm going to ask it anyway.
If you need your car for work, what is it doing at home if you are at work now.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I suspect it's a bit late now, but still...Maybe not, but you asked for immediate solutions.
If you tell the police that you dispute the validity of the warrant of execution and want to report the theft of the vehicle, then they may encourage the bailiff to move on, buying you some time.
All the police can and will do in situations like this is prevent a breach of the peace. They won't get involved in the particulars of whether and how a warrant is executed. The people who instructed the bailiff are the ones who should be able to delay enforcement at this point.juicysteve wrote: »This is true, good point.
I've also seen that if I tell the ballif the car is used for work (which it is, I'm self employed) they can't take it.
Without wishing to sound like a smartass, how come you're at work and it is at home? The standard for this may well have changed since I was a bailiff, but the standard test for not being able to take a vehicle "because its used for work" is more along the lines of "I am a taxi driver/courier and that is the vehicle I use, here is some supporting evidence", not "The commute is a right pain the hoop without it, I'd have to get up at 5.30 and change buses three times!!!!1one!".
I'm not saying you're the latter case rather than the former, I'm just trying to illustrate how that works. If you're reading this today and your vehicle has been taken, depending on how you use it and what you can demonstrate of that, this might be an approach to getting it returned. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0
