advice on claiming

Hi,
I just need a bit of info on tax credits. I had my first baby in jan this year. I claimed for child benefit but i would like to know if i can claim any thing else.
I used to work 37 hours on a 17000 wage. my partner is on 23000 but after hes paid out for maintenance he gets roughly the same amount as me a year. Also my maternity pay from my emplyor runs out this june and i am on the smp of about 500 a month am i entitled to claim anything else. I will be going back to work in a few months but i am unclear of what i can and cannot claim for. By the way i will be going back part time 2 days a week as i have no one to look after my baby after that.
any info would be brilliant.

I don't think that there is anything else that you can claim - I believe that for one child, a combined income of £26000 (assuming no disabilities or childcare costs) is the limit. As far as I am aware, maintenance paid for children in another household is not taken into consideration.0
