Hi, I need a new stereo for my car (1DIN), and am thinking of getting one of those ones that has a pull out 7" touch screen that can be used as a DVD, hands free phone (via bluetooth), CD player, radio etc.
ebay has loads of different ones from makes I have never heard of. They can't all be cr*p, some must be decent quality. Does anyone have any experience or reccomendations?
Some of the makes include:
Atlas
Boss
Auna
Eonon
Xtrons
Erisin
Sion
Meos
If anyone has a specific reccommendation, ideally I would like one that links to steering wheel controls.
Thanks.

IANAL and ICBW, but isn't it illegal to have something visible in the car (like a DVD player) that can distract you as a driver?
Putting it another way if/when you have an accident, that leaves you wide open to prosecution and insurance claims.

Hi thanks for your concern, but they have an electronic link to the handbrake to prevent the DVD playing during driving. The other functions are legal as they are no different from say for example a satnav (which incidentally, some of these units have as another function).
Anyone have any views/experience on the brands mentioned?

Which is easily sorted by tapping the wire into the head units earth = DVD's while on the move lol
But as said this is not very good in the eyes of the boys in blue.
I've not heard of any of the makes you listed so personally I would avoid. I've got a pioneer unit in my car, which is very good for everything, but at a cost of £349 might be a bit higher than you're prepared to spend.
