Hi,
My first post, how fast realistically can I buy a house using cash only I don't need a mortgage. I need it bought ASAP. I assume there's the searches, I guess the survey is down to my choice the risk I take. Any advice gratefully accepted.

You are really only dependent on the searches. I would say you need to allow 4 weeks from instructing the solicitor but it may be quicker. You may be in luck and if the searches come back quickly it could be 3 but id be surprised if you could do it any faster0

Our son and his g/f bought a flat (share of freehold) without a mortgage last year. I think it took around 4-5 weeks from start to finish, but they had some issues with the lease (required extending) that their solicitor had to sort, otherwise I believe it would have been quicker......good luck!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
