Apparently the driver can't find us.

Which is somewhat ironic given that this is a repeat order and they managed to deliver exactly the same item from exactly the same online company only a few short weeks before. I expect it was a different driver then.

We live in a small rural place. Our house has a name, not a number. It's a well known house in the village, if the driver got lost anyone could have told him where it was. He clearly didn't bother his backside. They even have directions given to them from the online company.

I get emails telling me the item is on the van and will be delivered that day. Which means hanging around as it needs signed for. And of course it doesn't show.

There's roadworks here today, I wonder if that will be today's excuse for 'returning the goods to depot'!

No doubt the driver will be wanting home early since it's the weekend.

Could you not have the item delivered to your work or a friends house where you can collect it so you don't have to wait in for it? Or call and ask if you can collect it from their depot?

Driver made some quip about only the postie being able to find us.

Crap excuse since his colleague seemed to manage ok.
