I'm yet to meet anyone who's got 100% trades right!

As Glen says, those are the ones done with other people's money where you're in a win win situation.

I like ITs where the managers have skin in the game, but even this is no guarantee.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

That's quite a drawdown. Concentrated portfolio?

The only share I hold directly that's down that much is Aviva and other holdings balance it out quite nicely.

At the moment, my old one consist about six companies of various value. Most of them are on mining. I suppose you could argue that it is concentrated in mining sector, just one actually produce materials while others do not.

Nevertheless, few weeks ago, I sold off two best performing major holdings (FKL & NG) to fund my cash ISA. Unsurprisingly, that caused massive drop in my return though. At the moment, if I entered all the transactions with old portfolio by XIRR, I am showing -2.87% return over three years so far.

At the moment, I am making new portfolio and hope it works. As it is, I am operating on scatterbrained ways of selecting shares based on a simple idea and hope I do better than a monkey with a pin :).

    Cheers

    Joe
