Car insurance group changes and insurance

Hi
Does anyone know anything about insurance groups changing? My partner has a ford mondeo 2.0 tdci his insurance group last year was a group 9 when looking online it appears to now be a group 22. I also have a megane 1.9dci which was a group 7 last year now it appears to be a group 19. Can anyone tell me what the justification is of this and will my insurance significantly increase?
Like many i have already been subjected to a 40% increase and couldn't possibly afford another one.

I was going to say what new system?
2010.. Dont some use a 100 group system now though?
Either way. Its not an foolproof way to find cheap insurance. A group 20 car can be cheaper to insure than a group 10 car.
