Just thought I'd give you all an update: we decided to go with House Network last Saturday and had the photos done this Saturday just gone. The listing went live this morning and was on Rightmove by this afternoon:

The house looks very nice inside. The galley kitchen and small yard will put off families but I could see a couple going for it.

Blimey, an estate agent trying to suppress information about a cheaper alternative....

So you don't think HB58 was spamming, with 50% of his/her posts promoting HN...?

Whose idea was it to put it up for £10-15k more than the valuations you'd received from the local estate agents?

Fair play to you if you can get it - and if you do, it will make an interesting discussion point for the forum, as to why the online agent with no local knowledge was able to save you over a grand in estate agent fees and get you an extra £10k plus on a house valued at £65k by the EAs with local presence!

Good luck - sometimes I just can't believe what you can get for your money up north!

Yeah, we'll see how we get on with the asking price! The first two EAs said £79k to get £65 to 70k as I said in the first post. The third EA said £85 and the fourth said £80k. I'm slightly skeptical based on recent sales in the area but this is a nicer house and nicer street than most so we thought we'd give it a punt.

I think they were trying to get people to use their code as they would have got 10% of what anyone paid HN.

I'm interested to know, as the link no longer works, how did it go?
