  • Just been reading through the posts and think it is so good that most of us have plans for the future- it keeps us going towards that light at the end of the tunnel lol!

I have about 2 years left to go on my journey to becoming DF, and the first thing I want to do is rent a bigger house in a nicer area, as we picked the cheapest house we could find to cut costs- I want a bit of space and comfort for us and our children especially as my eldest will nearly be a teenager by then ..the second thing will be to save up for a new car- getting sick of things falling of ours :). I find myself looking through holiday brochures and doing lots of 'virtual' shopping on the net just to keep me sane. I know all the hard work will be worth it for all of us in the end but until then we can all dream ;) x
£21k of debt left to go and got until 2014 to clear it!
    CC: £14,000
    Loan: £1,100
    Loan: £6,100
  • when we are debt free.....in a long, long time, we'll have £1300 a month to play with. The plan is to save up and visit my cousin, his wife and their children in Australia. Then to save up and move to a new house! It's all that is keeping me going with all this horrid scrimping and saving.

My DFD is beginning of 2013. I intend to save the money for a while and then finally pay for a new bathroom and kitchen which I've badly needed for the last 20 years.

I'll be £600 pm better off when I'm debt free so after I've saved up for the above then I can afford to work part time...can't wait for that! I'll be mortgage free in 2014 too, can well afford to go part time.

Also, I intend to see a bit more of the world whilst I still have my health and all before I hit 50.

EDIT: I've been a fully qualified complementary therapist for years but have never really been able to do anything with it as I can't afford to give up work and don't have the time to concentrate on it at the moment...it was originally just a hobby and interest which I took further and got qualified. Whilst i work part time, i intend to concentrate on the therapy side of things and then hopefully give up part time work and have my own little business and do something I really enjoy.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
