i receive stupid phone calls from all sort of companies nowadays due to giving my number out on PD loan applications.
i received a call from a company who knew how i had a loan for and who with and when. I gave them some details and they sent me some claim forms . I don't know any account numbers or sort codes of the loan i had in 2007 of around 2500. I really didnt think i had PPI as im in the army and remember telling them didnt need it. Is it realy worth claiming as the company will take 25% as a win fee if i did get a claim and would i have paid that much PPI on a £2500 loan over 3 years.
thanks in advance

So, they had data about you that was not in the public domain. Sounds like a data protection breach.I don't know any account numbers or sort codes of the loan i had in 2007 of around 2500.
If this claims company knows about your loans then dont they have these very simple details?I really didnt think i had PPI as im in the army and remember telling them didnt need it.
The ministry of justice has told claims companies to ensure that PPI existed and make sure there is a valid complaint reason before making a complaint. Most arent but then most are fly by night cowboys cashing in.Is it realy worth claiming as the company will take 25% as a win fee if i did get a claim and would i have paid that much PPI on a £2500 loan over 3 years.
Would you want to deal with a company that has your data unlawfully?
Does this company actually have your data or are they just using a clever (but very common) sales patter that actually gets you to tell them what you had without you actually realising it.
What would your grounds for complaint be when you dont even know you have it? would you be making allegations against the seller which are false?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
