I had a discussion with my hubby about weekly spend. There are us two and two kids (9 & 6). I spend £120-£130. I dont buy premium some Aldi and then Morrisons. Sometimes Tesco. He thinks it's a lot.

We have a weekly budget for groceries of £200 and used to easily spend that (family of four). But I have been setting myself a challenge for a while now to significantly reduce what we spend as its silly to spend so much when you can save so much by being sensible.
Our weekly shope averages out around £60-80 per week now. (i do a bigger shop at the beginning of the month and then top ups the rest of the time.
I combine, coupons, whoopsies, reduced to clear items, supermarket comparisons to maximise savings. It's turning into a bit of a competition now so it's quite a fun challenge everytime we go shopping now!Looking for a fresh start0 -
Just food and not toiletries etc? Probably in the region of £40-£50 for a family of 6. With other stuff, £100 as an absolute maximum but more usually around the £60-£75 mark per week, sometimes it works out less than this as depending on offers etc sometimes we shop for 2-4 weeks at a time and get minimal top up shopping in the meantime xx0

about £40 pw in aldi, maybe another £10 if I need to top up fruit/ milk then £50-60 per month bulk buying offers from approved food/ ocado when then send me a 30% off code - £250 per month. 2 adult males, 1 adult female following slimming world and a 5 yo inc cleaning stuff and basic toiletries - my fancy stuff comes out of my own budget!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I have a figure of about £160/week in my head and try not to go over that in online shopping. However, I just went through last months grocery spend (food, toiletries, cleaning etc) and discovered all those "popping" into supermarkets had pushed us way over!
We are a family of four; my wife and I, 19 yr old student son and 7 yr old daughter. I want to get the weekly spend to the minimum as possible without affecting quality. We are downshifting a lot of products and using "mysupermarket" to compare prices and deals.
I think I would be happy not to have to go to the supermarkets for incidentals, thereby reducing our monthly bill. I want to get the weekly shop to between £120-£150.0 -
For us (1 adult and 2 children), i spend £250 a month, so normally about £60 a week. That includes all food, cat food/litter, and cleaning products.0

I was amazed to read that some people are able to manage on £12/person/week! I am sure that for many that's a necessity rather than a choice, I am in awe as to how they can achieve it.0

We are 2 adults and a 6 month old baby shopping is around £100-120 per week excluding nappies. I would like to cut that in half as I'm coming to the end of maternity and money is getting tight. I came on this forum recently to get some ideas on how to save money. I have done my first bulk order on approved foods this week got a load of stuff for £31. I have stocked the freezer with 1/2 price meat. I trying to do the eating out of the freezer and cupboard challenge although will need to spend Abit on fresh stuff each week. Trying to give less of our money to Mr T.0

We did the 'Live Below the Line' challenge last year - £1 pppd - it was tough, boring and very stressful - but we didn't starve and even manged 5 a day!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
