Car Insurance - Silly question!

With insurance prices high, those first payments are a bit of a killer, I was paying £130 a month last year, and had I bought insurance off one of the comparison sites my new policy would have been £90 a month, but with a first payment of £200 or so! bit of a budget killer when my MOT and Tax are due within the same month!
HOWEVER I'm with NFU, who simply said my payment to them is £95 a month, with a first payment of £95... plus no admin fees so any changes in the year and I'm not paying £50 for the person on the phone to click a few buttons then print...0 -
Thanks wba31.
Yeah, although I think I would still make a saving if I cut my losses and move elsewhere. Swift's renewal without paying a 'deposit' is £139 a month (up by £15 a month with 1 more no claims years to add and no claims! joke!!)
If I move to this other insurer, my initial payment ' deposit' is £135, but then only £70 per month thereafter. I think I may aswell just shift comapanies! Loved Swifts online system, but unfortunately it would seem that I am paying out for the IT men to make it work :rotfl:0 -

Hmmm Swift Cover... shafted me sideways when I had an accident a few years ago, long story, I learnt from it!
Try a quote from NFU, they are quite competitive and their interest rate on monthly payments is really low, I whole heartedly recommend them!0 -

The NFU will give you a daft quote unless you live in the country or small town, we have insured two of our cars with them for ten years, the caravan and both home insurances for the same amount of time but they give a silyl estimate to insure my Wheelchair Accessable Vehicle depite us being good customers because it dosnt fit into their "core group" of customers.
They are excellent insurers, I would recomend them to anyone but people have to be aware that they wont cover everyone.0
