More cats or not?

Your cats are gorgeous.
I personally would say do not get any more cats. If yours were not siamese then I would say differently.
I had 3 cats until recently - 2 moggies and a black oriental (so more or less a siamese). One moggie died and I really would love to get another cat as I would only get a rescue and there are so many looking for homes. The trouble is the oriental really did not take well to the other 2 cats. I got the oriental first when he was 8 weeks old. I thought he should have a playmate so got a rescue kitten of a similar age. The oriental went mad terrorising the rescue kitten. Eventually after months he stopped being nasty but he never got on with him and whilst on the whole they ignored each other sometimes they would fight and it was always the oriental who started the fights.
I then got another rescue (I must be mad) and the same thing happened. Again they mainly ignore each other but the orienta will sometimes take a swipe at the rescue as he walks past. The one good thing is that the rescue is enormous compared to the oriental so I think the oriental is wary of him.
My oriental is also very jealous of me. He always want to sit on my lap - he would sit there 24 hours a day if I let him. He will not sit on OH's lap and will not let the rescue cat sit there. He is also very possessive of the cat beds. I have 4 scattered round the house and he will try and get the rescue cat off. Also he has a horrible habit of peeing on a bed after the rescue has got off!!!The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
I was pretty decided on 'no' but my father said just the same as my mother today...and dh and i talked about it some more. So still undecided....0

If they weren't orientals I'd say "yes" if your home was big enough for more kittencats without causing any of them stress. Would it work if any new feline/s introduced were outdoors-only cats and you let them indoors permanently if/when the inevitable happens?0

Btw band t, thats the pointy dog asleep with the cat ......as you know i rarely post photos of her on line!
If we were to buy more we would want them to be indoor /outdoor cats like ours. We already have ferals outside who i feed and medicate. The house is a decent size, and if we did get more i would 'divide it up' till they were settled then gradually introduce i guess.0 -
Personally I don't see the point of getting "outdoors-only" cats, (unless they are ferals/strays you are feeding).
Unless there is some reason that the cat chooses to be outside all the time, a cat is part of the family in my world and should be allowed to snuggle up on the sofa if it wants to

I did notice that the photo featured the beautiful DogDog. I'd recognise her anywhere as I'm a big fan, as you know.
I'm just concerned that your two Siamese would object and demonstrate that objection in the clearest way cats know how if you introduced more kittencats. Not that I approve of outdoors-only cats myself. But many thrive if they're given adequate shelter.
I dunno what the "right" answer is. I'd want as many cats as possible indoors, lounging on the bed with me. The one I gave a home to won't even do that, the contrary little beast.0
