    I'm not sure which part of the country in, but several locations now offer either the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course or the 8 week Mindfulnees Based Cognitive Therapy course for such issues - really practical, well taught, often run via universities in association with the NHS, your GP can refer you.

    If you google living life to the full it should come up ok
