Alternative to Katalax?

My cat gets furballs, has done for years. Diagnosed by the vet and prescribed Katalax.

However, she HATES Katalax with a vengence.

If I put it in food she will not eat it, no matter how hungry she is.

If I put it on her paws she flicks it off or rubs on the furniture and walls and I get brown smears of the stuff everywhere. She runs away when she see's me coming with it and it all gets so negative and unpleasant, I don't want my cat to be running away from me!

I have found another product called Lax-a-paste. Does anyone know if it's any good? Are there any other products I can try?

She brought up a massive furball yesterday and I really need to stop it from happening.

I do groom her, but she's getting on a bit and doesn't go outside like she used to and when she does go out she just lies around. I think she spends a lot of the day just sitting grooming herself and the furballs are getting bad again.
