When does a CC account open?
Is it when you make contact with the CC company and apply,or when you sign and return the credit agreement?
My Egg anniversary is in January, but i have just rung Virgin today,to apply for the 9 month 0% card.
If it counts as being opened today,i will be a couple of days short.
Does the above make sense?
Thanks in advance.

Certainly not before you sign the credit agreement.
I assume you will want to BT any balance on your Virgin card to Egg, to get the 0% anniversary rate on BTs? If you are a few days short, you could just wait as you will only have a few days interest to pay.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Thanks,
Actually,i want to pay off my car loan via the virgin for 9 months 0%,then get another 5 months 0% with Egg.
I still have 0% until Sept with my Egg card,so if you can think of the better way of doing it,i would be all ears.
At the moment,
Egg 4.5k limit @ 0% until Sept, then hopefully get an increase of the limit by Jan 2006.
Virgin ???k limit @ 0% until Jan 2006 then transfer to Egg.
Virgin have told me that i maybe able to negotiate the limit when i get the paperwork through, but my car loan is 14K,so i guess i would need a limit of about 10k to make it work.
It has taken me a couple of weeks to get my head around the thought of putting 14k on cards, and i have asked advice before,so i am going to try and go for it,as it will save me about 2.5k in interest hopefully.
