santander shares

I have a small amount of santander shares, which have dropped in value, should I sell? any help thanks.

    Yes, you should follow the Gordon Brown school of thought and sell your assets when the value is low.

    Buy high and sell low is the old adage.

    How long ago did you buy?

    Also do you think the share is undervalued or overvalued at present?

    I bought quite low, so they made a profit, but I am just wondering about the state of the bank now, I am trying to find the p/e but cant find it.

    Ah okay. I can't see the bank recovering anytime soon (5+ years perhaps?) and the same goes for its share price. So could be worth selling now.

    According to Digital Look the P/E for Banco Santander is 8. Though I would be considering a lot else besides when deciding whether to keep holding their shares.

    46% of Santander's profits I believe come from S. America and around 20-25% from the Eurozone.
