Help! How to move a toilet cistern to tile behind?

Its only overflow pipe. Its probably solvent welded anyway. Cut it off with a hacksaw and replace it afterwards.
Don't forget you'll need to shorten the flushpipe slightly when you reassemble and fit a new flushcone whilst you are at it. Feedpipe won't fit either but there will be a way round that.
Cheers
Edit: I am assuming above that you will be taking it off the wall, tile, then put it back. By far the simplest and quickest way.The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits. - Einstein0 -
I doubt whether the thickness of the tiles will make much difference to the pipe lengths when it is all put back together, especially the water feed pipe. But if it proves necessary they are all easily altered. You may well find that the bend on the overflow pipe just pulls off when the cistern fixing screws are removed. Obviously, if it is solvent welded, it won't. Alternatively it might well come loose in the wall if you pull it and it can then be adjusted and re-fixed to the toilet without a problem. If you don't already have one, I suggest that you take advantage of the job to install a local isolator valve in the cistern supply pipe. Thus making future maintenance much simpler.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
