What a nightmare for you, but how did fraudsters use your cards without knowing the pin numbers? The banks' usual get out clause is that you must have written down your pin number or given it to someone, so be prepared to fight them on this. If the fraudsters did online shopping with the cards, there will be a delivery address which should help track them down. Good luck.

I'd thank your lucky stars you're getting money back. We are spoiled by a generous society. If you lived anywhere else, you'd have to shoulder the cost - its life. My guess is you got skimmed somewhere.

Dont ever let your card out of your sight for any reason. In restaurants, follow the server and observe their handling of the card at all times. It takes 2 seconds to skim a card and months to sort out the resulting mess.

As the first reply said - the bank will investigate, if you talk to the police they will say that it up to the bank to investigate and up to the bank to report it to the police if there has been fraud.

What did the bank say they will do?
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

    Compensation for what?

I do think you are slightly over reacting, I have been a victim of fraud too, not nice I know, but the bank will sort it out for you and will reimburse you any lost monies.

This kind of fraud is happening constantly, the police will not be interested, the bank will probably not have time to investigate it as they have lots of fraud to deal with, the bank will refund you. Just make sure you sign the form they send you within the time allocated and post it recorded delivery:D or pop it into the branch.
