I went into the bank today to get some money out and the cashier said I had 0.00 in my account, my account has been clared as FRAUD nearly £1000 gone out of my account, preety shaken up and left me with no money. What happens next? do they catch the people who have used my cards do I go to the police. All my cards have been canceled for that account

Your bank should have started proceedings to investigate, securing your account and refunding money in the meantime. What did they tell you?Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

A load of transactions for clothes shops has been showing on my account, got my card cancled at 1pm today then my bank rang me at 2pm to tell me 7 other people tried to use my account but they were all declined because I have canceled my card. They said I would get some forms in the post in the next few days and I have to fill them in and send them back. How do they catch these people ?0

They don't. That's what insurance is for. Any idea how they managed to clone your card?
With regard to card fraud, banks don't give a damn which is why they've introduced fee paying current accounts to recover some of the money. When I was working in customer services for a prominent mobile phone network, I uncovered a massive PAYG fraud ring. I was watching illegal transactions happen by the minute in realtime, but when I tried to warn the banks concerned and get the cards stopped, they wouldn't even talk to me. The owners of those cards were taken for thousands and no doubt the bank dragged their feet over paying them all back too.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Sadly I doubt they will ever be able to catch the perpetrators (or rather have the funds/time/officers to do in the grand scheme of things, very sorry to say) - but your bank should work hard to be able to repay you the money lost.
My partner had his whole identity stolen - had his wallet nicked, they had all his cards and driving licence with address etc, and opened loads of credit accounts with catalogues (littlewoods, very and the like). It was flagged when the credit was registered to an address over 300 miles from that which the goods were being delivered to!
This was nearly a year ago and its a very slow on-going process - cancelled cards etc, and went through a credit company to cancel or decline any applications for credit, he still has to wait a little longer before he can safely lift this. Its been a real pain as we have just been getting first house together etc!
The bank (Santander, FWIW) were really helpful though, cards cancelled immediately and funds were returned within a month. He had never before. applied for any sort of shop/store credit and so it was so out of the ordinary.0 -

Yes it is. You have our sympathies. May I also suggest you change personal passwords online and anything else you can think of to make yourself feel more secure.
How did this happen? Was your wallet or purse stolen? If so, you may be at risk of a far larger fraud, so start dealing with it now.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

This happened to me some years ago. My bank upped my overdraft to pay for my expenses until they completed an investigation and then returned the money taken out. Are they willing to help you?Husband's LBM: 26 September 2012
