Indestructible cycle tyres

I'll second the recommendation for these. I got a new bike last summer and got 4 punctures in 10 days with the factory fitted tyres.
I was looking at Scwalbe marathons, but a friend suggested these as a cheaper alternative and I have not had a puncture since (10 months and counting!)
Cheers,

By far the best value puncture resistant tyres I know, just very difficult to fit.0 -
I use Schwalbe Marathon Plus on my commuter bike for ultimate peace of mind, but to be honest I doubt whether they're really necessary - I'd just kick myself if I were late for work because I'd skimped on tyres.
My point is - the tyres supplied on new bikes tend to be the cheapest of the cheap, pretty much any tyre from the main brands (e.g. Schwalbe, Michelin, Vittoria, Continental etc) should be an improvement.
For the riding you do (assuming 26" wheels) the Schwalbe Land Cruiser might be a good compromise - slightly nobbly tread but not excessively so, and not too expensive.Long-haul Supporters DFW 120

It's only 13.3 miles each way, along a flat and very beautiful part of the canal. No traffic, hardly any people and fantastic wildlife to look at all the way in. Takes just over an hour each way and I get into work in a great mood instead of a foul one when I drive.Pants0 -

I have those, and can highly recommend them.0 -
I tried these when they first came out

I didn't like them and decided just to renew my conventional tyres more frequently.
Sadly, I don't cycle these days.0
