it seems for once in my life, my birthday has actually turned out fantastic.
It has taken me many years to stop expecting the wonderful on my birthday, and to acknowledge that i am really the only one who cares.
I woke up this morning expecting the usual disappointment and it has been the exact opposite.

I used to be the same until I hit my mid twenties and decided to make my birthday special regardless of what anyone else did. I started to plan a day of treats (for one) - e.g. breakfast in bed, cinema, theatre or spa day and a special dinner. One year I bought a jar of floral gums (my guilty pleasure), had two hour bath and spent the day in my dressing gown watching tv and eating crap. Bliss.0 -

i love floral gums, but I must admit I'm a lions sports mixture fan, especially the black ones, yum.
