5k Overdrawn on savings account! How do they work that!

I have gone £5,000 overdrawn on my savings account, I think because of an international payment that was scheduled. I'm not entirely sure until tomorrow as Natwest never usually show the name of the company or receipient until the next day.
Anyway, I think the money has gone awol or maybe takes 3 working days or whatever because I've checked my other account that I regularly transfew monies to and the balance is as was expected i.e. it hasn't gone up 5 grand!
My question is can this be reported to credit reference agencies?
I'm quite annoyed because I have had a perfect record for 3 years (I'm only 21) and I don't want this to ruin it. As far as I'm concerned I know savings accounts aren't reported to CRAs because it is not credit etc but with this being a debt, terms and conditions and all that jazz will this affect my credit rating even if it longs out for a week or a few weeks or whenever they update it?

I have worked at HSBC Bank in various departments both customer facing and process-related for six years. However, any advice given is my own.

I'm intrigued - don't know the answer to your question but how can a savings account be allowed to go overdrawn?? Which bank?0
