My OH and I went to Blackpool on Sunday, It was cold, wet, windy, dirty, full of chavs, smoking outside everywhere, spitting, effing and blinding, littered, filthy, tat shops, loud hen and stag do's, rip off merchants and I will never, ever visit Blackpool again in my lifetime.

    Truly awful, just awful.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Glad to hear your thoughts about Whitby, off there next week, never been on East coast before.

Blackpool isn't that bad, you had to pick the worst time to go though on an extended bank holiday, and isn't it the Scottish holidays on too?

    OP

Bispham isn't really that far away. If you want the Pleasure beach etc, it is at the other end of the resort. If you could change to the Squires gate one it would be easier. Only downside is that it is at the side of the Airport runway and the flights start at 7am and you have the taxiing of the aircraft from one end of the runway to the other before take off ! But only about 10 flights a day .

There are loads of car parks all around the town, prices seem to be set at £5 3 hours, £10 24 hours, but have a look at link , you may be able to pre pay for car parks, said £30 for a week.

You could always go on the new tram system.

From the hotel , you walk up Redbank road to prom, tram stop is opposite, about 10-15 min walk.

There is a No 7 Bus stop directly outside the Premier Inn at Bispham.
Cheapest car parking is on either Seed St or Talbot Rd just after the Mecca Bingo. Both cost about £2.00.
