Knobs!

I have a Belling range cooker, not that old, but the cheap plastic knobs are breaking and I am having to turn the gas on with a pair of pliers:(
I have looked on line for official belling knobs which are around £7 or so, but these are sure to break again as they are just plastic ones again.
Is there another company that does a more robust replacement?
Thanks

Take one down the dump and see if you can find a cooker it fits, then take the knobs off that. I believe they're pretty standardised on many cookers, although it does seem the oven knob often has a bigger hole in the back to the hob burners - but that too is consistent, it just might be confusing if you haven't noticed it yet. I got mine home and was putting them on when I discovered this, but had I compared a knob from the hob to the oven I'd have mistakenly thought they wouldn't fit my cooker and not bought them.0
