John Lewis excellent CS over new TV

It's nice to be able to say thanks when receiving good customer service which seems ever rarer these days so here goes...
I was interested in buying a new 40" TV and John Lewis was offering the Samsung UE40ES5500 at £549. I went in to make a final decision whether to buy or not on Monday (4th June) and price was down to £494.95 including usual JL five year guarantee- bargain!...but they were out of stock. Assistant said there'd definitely be more stock coming but she couldn't say when and suggested I submit my email online to be advised.
Last night I checked their website and saw the TV was back in stock but now at £599.95. I went into store and spoke to manager of dept. He said the lower price was a jubilee special by Samsung.
I said that wasn't advertised in store and at the very least I should have been given the option to order one at that price as there was no suggestion that new stock would be higher priced.
He immediately agreed and wrote out a ticket for the lower price so I've got a big new tv and an extra £105 in my back pocket!! Thank you John Lewis.

Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!
