URGENT HELP PLS - Hotmail been hacked!!

Hi everyone, I'm really, really hoping someone can help me. I've just tried to sign in to my hotmail account and am getting a message saying the account has been blocked as it may have been hacked!! I'm now going round in circles trying to find some contact details for hotmail.

The problem I have is when I try to sign in, I get a drop down box saying a code can be sent to the alternative email address in order for me to sign in and change the passwords etc. However, the email address showing in the box is an old one which I haven't had for about 8 years (and I can't access it either as it is AOL which I no longer have!). There is no option to change the alternative email address either.

I have gone through the problem solving pages and it has allowed me to change my password but still wont let me sign in with the new one, it keeps saying I have to have a code sent to unblock it?? How do I solve this, it's urgent as I have been sent a letter via email which I need to print off and take to a meeting! Any help greatly appreciated.

Sorry I dont know how to help but Im now going to change my old hotmail alternative email address as it is also no longer in use.

Have you tried logging into your old AOL account to see if it's still active?

I really did not think I would be able to log into that account as it's been so long but I just managed to do it and retrieve the code to unlock the hotmail account.

Needless to say I have now updated all my alternative info should this happen again! :eek:

Good result well done, now change your password on your old AOL account too
