IVA with Grant Thornton & PPI Claim..Do I have a right to complain?
Hi guys,
I hope you can help, I'm doing a PPI claim for my mum, it's for 16k. My mum paid the PPI off in 2008 when re mortgaging, since then she has entered into an IVA.
The company is Picture finance, so as they're in default my case is with the fscs, basically I have got to the end of the stage and they are prepared to payout, however because of the IVA my mum needs clearence from Grant Thornton. We agreed that 40% of the PPI Reclaim would cover the remaining IVA payments and that 60% would then be sent as a cheque to my mum.
However grant thornton need to send a letter to confirm this, I have been trying since 28th April now for this letter. GT are telling me they sent it to FSCS however fscs are saying they haven't recieved it. GT have said they cannot send the letter to me....is this true?
If not does anyone know where to complain I've tired 40 times and I'm getting nowhere :-(( I cannot find their complaints procedure anywhere...I could be at my D40 by now.
They must be regulated by the FOS or FSA right??
Thank you in advance for all your help and advice,
Luke

hate to break it to you but unless those remaining IVA payments cover 100% of the debts plus all the fees then she should really be losing all of the PPI reclaim so might be best not to rock the boat to muchHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Hi, the 40% going to them will cover the IVA to finish it off.
Does that change it??0 -
"To finish it off" ... do you mean to pay the agreed dividend or will that cover your total ORIGINAL debt plus fees ?0
