Whats the complaint about?
I worked for Toys r us for quite a while, but i don't know their address off hand.0 -
From their website,Toys 'R' Us's registered office is at Mitre House, 160 Aldersgate Street, London EC1A 4DD
However, this could actually be the address of their solicitors, CMS Cameron McKenna.
I took Toys R Us to the Small Claims Court a few years ago (they settled before the case, but they didn't give up easily, even though they were blatantly in the wrong). I've got a different PC now so I don't have the details, but I do remember that I got the address by ringing them and saying, 'I wish to make a complaint to the Small Claims Court, to which address should I send the information to?', and that got me the relevant details.
Maidenhead definitely rings a bell.
Absolute bunch of muppetts. For some reason I bought from them again this year. Got one of those My Little Pony heads (scary things!), which stated 'Batteries not Included'. When we got it out of the box, there were batteries in it, and they had corroded. They tried to suggest to us that the manufacturers had put them in to test it?!!!
Let us know how you get on xGone ... or have I?0 -
My husband used to work for the company years ago, he run the computing department at one of their store. Must be pretty bad as he has always said he would never purchase any computerware from them.
I only worked there as a stop off after having my son, but if the way the goods on the truck were anything to go by, i have not bought anything from them since.
The trucks were always over stocked and when you opened the back everything would fall off, the pallets were always knocked over.
When we put stock away from the trucks it would be thrown from one person to another, gtting knocked many times.
I hated he job, and the managers at the shop worked didn't give a monkey about the customers.0 -
Don't bother absolute bunch of tvvats either sue them or forget it, Toysrus don't do customer service.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

hi everyone thanks for all your replies!!! very supportive of you but does not give me much optimism!
In a nut shell we have a graco mosaic travel system, from the start it did not wheel well, returned to the shop many times "it need oil, bedding in...... etc' the foot plate cracked and snapped (even before it was used as a footplate as baby was still in the car seat ontop!) back wheels appear to be set at an angle and therefore scrape on the floor instead of rotating correctly, hense three sets of wheels in under a year!!!
returned to graco for repairs twice and continued to be a problem, wrote to manager of store requesting full refund as it was not 'fit for purpose' (as advised by trading satndards), he must have passed on my letter to 'customer services' at Gateshead I think, as several weeks later had a phone message from someone there, anyway many returned calls back to customer services and that person was always busy, not able to take my call, would ring back, but never has...... now three months since letter to store manager and want to write to him, managing director and head of customer services, but it looks like in your experience the only way forward is small claims, might not be worth the stress, and probably as they have caused it to be so protracted its been well over a year since we bought it now, might be too late..... will let you know what happens!!0 -
Ah a pushchair-retailers are reluctant to refund these at the best of times.0

I understand completley, as before i worked at toys r us for my short period, i bought a Graco buggy from them, which after less than one month in the wheels started falling off, so i took it back, they mended it but it happened again after another months use.
So TRU decided to exchange the buggy for one of their other one, so i opted for a three wheeler.
3 months down the line, the metal under the seat started poking through the seat, so we took it back and they sent it off to be recovered.
Less than 2 months later, the metal came through the seat again, so we took it back again, they said that they could only return it to the manufactures to examine.
Two weeks later they returned the buggy to the store, stating that they had put a completley new seat on, but on opening the buggy up to check before leaving i noticed a mark on the seat which my son had done, the store accepted that the sat must not have bee changed and offered me an alternative buggy.
But once again this had a fault on it, as we went out shopping with it, got back to the car and couldn't close it, the mechanism had broke, less than 1 week after getting it.
I then took it back into the store and told them that i was not leaving until i had my money back, and that included money for the raincover and cosytoes that had been bought seperatey.
Atfer a bit of arguing, they did it, got a full refund.
I ave never bought a Graco pushchair since, i got a maclaren and its (touch wood) been great and lasted longer than any graco one did.0 -
I went up against them them once and won so it can be done - story is here
Deal directly with the US office. They despair at the poor level of customer service in the UK and really will try and help.
