So no news. The problem in Devon is lack of supply. Good houses are selling in days. We had three offers before ours even went on the market but we can't find anything to Buy.
It seems to be a local issue 3 and 4 bed houses are selling at asking prices about 5-7% higher than a year ago. As long as they aren't modern houses and have decent size rooms and gardens.
That said the new development in Cranbrook sold out first batch in a few days.0 -
Another saying 'no news'. Prices always go up a little for the spring. What matters is how early they start to fall back and how fast.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Not quite sure what constitutes a "good house" but I suspect it is more to do with being at the right price.Good houses are selling in days. We had three offers before ours even went on the market but we can't find anything to sell.

True.
But the indices seasonally adjust to compensate.
So this means prices went up more than they would normally. Which is a surprise, as everyone expected prices to fall after the stamp duty holiday ended.
Prices remain extremely resilient given all the headwinds in the market.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
